Kids Insight in Balerno is registered with the Care Inspectorate as a Day Care of children service to provide afterschool childcare for a maximum of 95 children across two venues (The Ogston Hall and the Balerno Bowling Club).

Kids Insight in Balerno runs Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays during school term time. On fridays children are collected from school and taken by public transport to our Nether Currie Primary School venue.

2.45pm-5.45pm for Primary 1-2 - Monday-Thursday
3.15pm-5.45pm for Primary 3-7 - Monday - Thursday
12.15pm-5.30pm for Primary 1-2 on Fridays
12.25pm-5.30pm for Primary 3-7 on Fridays
A Typical day at Kids Insight
We collect your child from the playground at Dean Park Primary School and walk them in pairs to the venue they are booked into for that day.
After washing hands we sit down to enjoy a filling snack together, then there is the opportunity to take part in various activities such as:
Art & Crafts
Board games
Puzzles
Dressing up
Football
Den building
Play spaces are created to reflect the different interests of the children who attend each day. At Kids Insight we have a strong focus on child-led play.
Space will also be provided for any children who wish to do their homework.
